What is Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Practice (GCHP)?
Healthcare Practice programme is the delivery of care to support the maintenance or improvement of health via the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments. Healthcare practice is carried out in a range of settings (including statutory, Private, third and voluntary sectors) and by a range of disciplines, including nursing.
Healthcare programme is developed by ISDC in partnership University of the West of Scotland (UWS); the leading Nursing Provider in Scotland. This programme is designed to equip students with a greater understanding of the conduct and performance requirements for high quality healthcare practice within India and UK adult nursing context. The students are prepared as per high order thinking skills like knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation of professional nursing practice. The training is spread over 360 hours including 90 hours of skills training enabling the nursing graduates & freshly recruited nurses to perform their job assignment in the hospital, be it domestic or International.
The Programme will require students to undertake a relevant selection of core modules to a credit point total of 60 credits at SCQF level 9 on topics associated with the professionl standards and values that adult nurses must uphild in order to be registred to practice in the UK (as defined by the 2018 NMC code for nurses and Midwives), and reflecting the 2010 standards against which applicants to the NMC test of competence would be measured.

Training Infrastructure
Students on the programme will have the opportunity to practice skills development within a simulated healthcare environment, these state-of-the-art facilities will simulate the clinical environment which healthcare practitioners (including nurses) are exposed to, making use of equipment which reflects that used in worldwide healthcare settings.
Eligibility : Nursing graduates and post graduates with minimum 6 month of work experience
